, a Greek mathematician, whose country is unknown, wrote a treatise on warlike machines, which he dedicated to Attains, king of Pergamus, about the year 239 B.C. It is printed in Gr. and Lat. in the “Mathematici Veteres,” Paris, 1693, fol. 2
