CAPRA

, or the She-goat, a name given to the star Capella, on the left shoulder of Auriga; and sometimes to the constellation Capricorn. Some again represent Capra as a constellation in the northern hemisphere, consisting of 3 stars, comprised between the 45th and 55th degree of latitude.

The poets fable her to be Amalthea's goat, which suckled Jupiter in his infancy.
