, Comet of the Sun, a phenomenon sometimes observed at the setting of the sun; thus denominated by Sturmius and Pylen, who had seen it, because it seems to make a comet of the sun, being a large tail, or column of light, fixed or hung to that luminary, and dragging after it, at its setting, like the tail of a comet.
