Satellites

.—In astronomy this apellation is given to subordinate bodies, called Moons, revolving about a superior orb. In the political world, it is applied to Dindas, Jenkinson, Windham and to about ⁵¹⁸/₅₅₈ of the House of Commons, who (although they cannot bear the thoughts of a revolution) revolve round Mr. Pitt once in every session. The word moon, which is used in astronomy, is evidently a corruption from the word man—moons, mons, mans, man.
