Ellis, William (17941872)

Ellis, William, a missionary and author, born in London; laboured in the South Sea Islands, and afterwards in Madagascar; wrote various works descriptive of these islands; he married Sarah Stickney, who is the authoress of a number of popular works, including “The Women of England,” “The Daughters of England,” &c. (17941872).
