Gauden, John (16051669)

Gauden, John, bishop of Worcester; protested against the trial of Charles I., and after his execution published Eikon Basilikë” (q.v.), or the “Portraiture of his Sacred Majesty in his Solitude and Sufferings,” which he declared was written by him (16051669).
