Heterogeneous Line, is that which consists of parts or rays of different refrangibility, reflexibility, and colour.

Heterogeneous Numbers, are mixed numbers, consisting of integers and fractions.

Heterogeneous Particles, are such as are of different kinds, natures, and qualities; of which generally all bodies consist.

Heterogeneous Quantities, in Mathemati<*>s, are| those which cannot have proportion, or be compared together as to greater and less; being of such different kind and consideration, as that one of them taken any number of times, never equals or exceeds the other. As lines, surfaces, and solids in geometry.

Heterogeneous Surd<*>, are such as have different radical signs; as √a and √3(b2); or √510 and √720.
