, professor of law at Leipsic, was born at Bescow, in Lower Lusatia, February 28, 1698. He was eminent for his learning, and assisted in the Journals of Leipsic, at which place he died April 7, 1731, aged thirty-three. Corte published an edition of Sallust, printed at Leipsic, 1724, 4to, with notes, which is much esteemed, “Tres Satyrae Mennipeae,” Leipsic, 1720, 8vo, and other works.
