Theodorick O-Brien
, sometimes written Terence and Terlach O-brien, was descended from an ancient and noble family of his name in Ireland, and after he had spent some time in good letters here in Oxon, became Bishop of Killaloe in the said Country, and a person of great name there for his liberality and hospitality, yet addicted to warfare more than became his coat. He paid his last debt to nature (†)(†) Jac. War. ut sup. p. 231. in fiveteen hundred twenty and five. Several years before his time was another of both his names Bishop of that place, and another after him; whereupon, by writers, this Bishop was commonly written and called Terence O-Brien the second.
