John Earle

sometimes Fellow of Merton Coll, afterwards Dean of Westminster, was consecrated Bishop of VVorcester (on the death of Gauden) in the latter end of Nov. 1662, and thence translated to Salisbury in the latter end of Sept. an. 1663. He died in Nov. in sixteen hundred sixty and five;1665. under which year you may see more of him among the Writers, p. 251. In VVorcester succeeded Dr. Skinner, and in Salisbury Dr. Hyde, as I shall tell you hereafter.
