The sobriquet of Prince Napoleon Joseph Charles Bonaparte, son of Jerome Bonaparte. He was nicknamed Craint-plon (Fear-bullet) in the Crimēan war (1854–1856), a nickname afterwards perverted into Plon-plon. (1822–1891.)
