Breughel (15591637)

Breughel, a family of Butch painters, a father and two sons, the father, Peter, called “Old” B. (1510-1570); a son, John, “Velvet” B., either from his dress or from the vivid freshness of his colours (1560-1625); and the other, Peter, “Hellish” B., from his fondness for horrible subjects (15591637).
