,—the usual residence of monarchs, reigning (to quote an elegant author) in contempt of the People. Could we unite in one idea, the luxury and voluptuousness of aldermen, the meanness and avarice of parish officers, and the ignorance and servility of courtiers, we should form a just conception of th elodging and inhabitants of a royal palace!—in Spain!!!
