Boece, Hector (14651536)

Boece, Hector, a humanist and Scottish historian, born at Dundee; professor of Philosophy at Paris; friend of Erasmus; was principal of university at Aberdeen; wrote “History of Bishops of Mortlach and Aberdeen,” and “History of Scotland” in excellent Latin (14651536).
