Fixt (The)

That is, the Firmament. According to the Ptolemaic System, the earth is surrounded by nine spheres. These spheres are surrounded by the Primum Mobĭle (or First Moved); and the Premium Mobĭle is enveloped by the empyrēan, or abode of deity
