Aldred (d. 1063)

Aldred (Al`dred) , bishop of Worcester in the reign of Edward the Confessor, made a pilgrimage to Jerusalem, became archbishop of York, and crowned the last of the Saxon and the first of the Norman kings of England; (d. 1063).
