Hase, Karl August (18001890)

Hase, Karl August, an eminent German theologian, born at Steinbach, Saxony, professor at Jena; author of a “Text-book of Evangelical Dogma,” a “Life of Christ,” a “Church History,” &c., was equally opposed to orthodoxy and rationalism, and sought to reconcile the creed of the Church with the conclusions of science (18001890).
