Trench, Richard Chevenix (18071886)

Trench, Richard Chevenix, archbishop of Dublin, born in Dublin; educated at Harrow and Trinity College, Cambridge; took orders; became curate to Samuel Wilberforce, and wrote “Notes on the Miracles and Parables” and “The Study of Words”; was Dean of Westminster before he became archbishop (18071886).
