Khorassan [Region of the Sun]
.A province of Persia, anciently called Ariaʹna.
The Veiled Prophet of Khorassan. Mokanna, a prophet chief, who, being terribly deformed, wore a veil under pretence of shading the dazzling light of his countenance.
