St. Bernard quotes this proverb in Latin, “Qui me amat, amat et canem meam,” French, “Qui aime Bertrand, aime son chien.” Spanish, “Quién bién quiérs a beliram, bien quiére a su can.” (If you love anyone, you will like all that belongs to him.)
