Pollok, Robert (17991827)

Pollok, Robert, Scottish poet, born in Renfrewshire; bred for the Secession Church, wrote one poem, “The Course of Time,” in 10 books, on the spiritual life and human destiny, which was published when he was dying of consumption, a complaint accelerated, it is believed, by his studious habits (17991827).
