That part of the helmet which lifted up to en able the wearer to drink. Similarly bever, the afternoon draught in the harvest-field, called fours’s. (Italian, bevere, to drink; Spanish, beber; Latin, bibo; French, buveur, a drinker; Armoric, beuvrauh, beverage, etc.)
