Ammianus Marcellinus (d. 390)

Ammianus Marcellinus (Ammia`nus Marcelli`nus) , a Greek who served as a soldier in the Roman army, and wrote a history of the Roman Empire, specially valuable as a record of contemporary events; (d. 390).
