Superior, excellent. That’s buckra. A buckra coat is a smart coat; a buckra man, a man of consequence. This word among the West Indians does the service of burra among the Anglo-Indians: as burra saïb (great master, i.e. whiteman), burra khana (a magnificent spread or dinner).
